Ledgestone Course and Events Schedule Released

Ledgestone Course and Events Schedule Released

Tournament staff have finalized both the course schedule and events schedule for the 2018 Discraft Ledgestone Insurance Open. The course schedule is mostly similar compared to last year, with minor changes with some divisions. MPO will continue to play Lake Eureka all four rounds. Some changes are coming to Eureka and those changes will be released soon. The FPO division will continue to play both Northwood and Sunset. Northwood will incorporate a few longer tees and Sunset will incorporate a few shorter tees, based on feedback from the players and data analyzed by UDisc.

Based on player feedback, the MG1 division, now known as MA50, will move into the same pool as MA40 (formerly MM1). These divisions will play Sunset Hills, Northwood Park and Lake Eureka Permanent. This will be a good mix of courses, as Sunset plays longer and open, Northwood has a good mix of holes, and Eureka is short and tight. MA1 will have the same schedule compared to 2017, as they will play McNaughton, Wildlife and Westwood again. Westwood will have no changes, while McNaughton will incorporate a few different tees. Wildlife will be tweaked compared to 2017 as that course continues to improve. All pools can view their course schedule on the tournament website. The course schedule is subject to change. Caddy guides for each course are being finalized as we speak and will be uploaded when they are ready.

The events schedule has also been released. As usual, the schedule is jam packed with fun events. Popular events that will return in 2018 include the mini tournament, $10,000 hole in one contest, disc golf night at the ballpark, the St Jude dunk tank and the ice cream social. We will also be hosting four Flex C Tiers throughout the tournament week, including a Flex C Tier on the Sunday before the tournament, which will give players the chance to play the infamous Lake Eureka Temp course that is played by the MPO players.

As usual we will be hosting two Flymarts and will also have the DGPT festival games. New to this year’s event will also be the Festival tournament, which will take place Thursday night. We will also host some great vendor events, which will give them a chance to buy some really awesome one of a kind Discraft discs. In addition to our mini event, where you’ll get to throw the far reaching Discraft minis, we will also host a glo doubles event for the 4th consecutive year. On Wednesday afternoon we will once again host our Play with the Champs Exhibition event, which will give players the chance to play with top professionals. Last year those players were Ricky Wysocki, Paige Pierce, Nate Doss and Valerie Jenkins. We will also host two clinics during the week, Last year our clinicians included Michael Johansen, Tim Barham and Austin Turner. The 2018 Ledgestone is shaping up to the best event of the year. Do not miss it! Registration will take place exclusively at Disc Golf Scene.
